DETAILS:

The Adventure Race – REMOTE, is designed to encourage young and old to get out beyond their backyards and into the mountains, trails and places not yet explored near where they live.

“We have designed a journey which will include hiking in the snow with natural obstacles along the way. We have come up with a figure-8 route which is both challenging and fun and mostly off the beaten path”

HOW IT WORKS:

·  You buy a map via the online registration site ·  You will receive a link which unlocks details about the route, a photo journal and a post race report form ·  You record your start and finish time · You take pictures of different markers on the journey as proof. ·   You send us your race report and we’ll collect the data. · We will put you in the category we have set up for the leaderboard and post on website.

SCHEDULE:

TBD

  • Daily starts: You decide when to tackle the circuit

  • You can break the course up over several days, or do it multiple times!

  • NOTE: not advised when there is a wind event

  • $17.50 which includes one Map and one Photo Journal/Course description, Kids AG Buffs for all group members, and a Post Report Form

Referred to as Virtual Racing on other sites, we coined the phrase:

Remote Racing

“There are no parking problems. No crowds. No long Porta Potty lines. There is no start gun or nervous, pre-race chitchat with other athletes.

There's not even an official starting line.”

The Benefits

“There are many people who would love to participate in physical races but are unable to for one reason or another,"

"With remote races, you don't need to deal with traffic, parking, poor weather or unexpected schedule conflicts or injuries that might cause you to miss the race."

"For us, remote racing is not a replacement, but a race reimagined and a new addition to the conventional race." agrees Hélène Matisse, creator of the race.
